First Holy Communion

Receiving the Holy Eucharist for the first time is an important rite of passage for Catholic children. After all, the Eucharist is the most important part of every Catholic Mass, serving as the moment in which Jesus Christ presents himself to his followers. The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist was instituted by Christ at the Last Supper when He broke bread with His 12 apostles before offering Himself on the Cross. When we celebrate Communion at Mass, Christ makes present again, through the priest, His one sacrifice on the cross in an unbloody manner. Of course, this profound moment also marks further initiation into the Church and brings a child closer to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Recibir la Sagrada Eucaristía por primera vez es un importante rito de iniciación para los niños católicos. Después de todo, la Eucaristía es la parte más importante de cada Misa Católica, sirviendo como el momento en que Jesucristo se presenta a sus seguidores. Confirmation

Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Christian’s relationship with God is made stronger. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are strengthened: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. In this way the Christian is equipped to become a better witness to Christ in the world.

Al recibir el sacramento de la Confirmación, la relación del cristiano con Dios se fortalece. The R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process whereby those interested in learning about the Catholic faith come together to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time, to discover where God is present in their lives.
